Throughout my writing, media and marketing career my key role has been behind the scenes. In these more modern times this is shortened to BTS.
One of the things I have been doing for the 21 years I’ve had mp|media solutions is collaborating BTS with other creative people. And I love when I get the opportunity to go BTS and make magic happen for my clients with photographers and film makers.
I don’t have many photos of me at work, but here is a rare one. You can tell a photographer has taken this BTS photo. The tree! The light! So perfectly arranged. We were putting a film together for Bega Valley Shire Council’s amazing FOGO compost and it was a truly special day. Part of my BTS role was coordinating a live video chat with Costa Georgiadis, Logie winner, ABC Gardening Australia television host, Bega Valley FOGO ambassador and all round fabulous person. More than 17,000 people have watched this live conversation (and climbing) and I am so proud to have been BTS to help make this magic happen.
My media business is all about putting others front and centre, but it’s nice for people to know that I’m not making it up when I tell them I’ve been doing something other than writing books, honestly! As other BTS people would know, explaining what you do is not straightforward…
